Tony Sportiello

Antony Sportiello (Playwright) - Tony is currently the Artistic Director of The WorkShop Theater Company, a 200 member organization in Manhattan. He has been the Artistic Director since February of 2001. Tony is the author of more than two dozen plays, including LOL, Second Chance, Wild Thing, The Summer of Katya, National Pastime, Absent Friend", Suicide Rings, Radio Daze, News Story and others. He works at Bloomberg Television in New York City. He is perhaps proudest of the fact that his play Contract Time was performed in Cooperstown, New York and he was accepted into the literary bureau, making him an official member of the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.
